How to Upload Google Photos to Seagate Go Flex

I came across this issue when helping a client.
Here is how I fixed the problem.
Did all the driver update and stuff
Nosotros realized that everytime we connect the device, there is a sound and the disk is picked upward by windows but does non prove upwards in Explorer
i) Opened Diskmgmt.msc
2)All disks and partitions are listed hither. Some partitions done accept a drive letter (Eg, System Reserved). These drives don't prove up in Explorer.
3) Noticed that the Seagate disk is there simply it also did not have a drive letter
four) Right Click on the Seagate Drive, Assign any drive letter of the alphabet.
5) FIXED!!
Non sure why the deejay does non have a drive letter on Windows 10 but has a letter on every other machine.
Yous have to exercise this bulldoze letter of the alphabet assignment only once. Drive works everytime y'all reconnect information technology.

OMG -- this worked for me!
I previously installed the new version of the dashboard from the link
http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/detail/seagate-dashboard-windows-principal-dl/
it showed the drive .. merely not what was on it! I was able to install it directly without called-for to a cd. I had already uninstalled the old dashboard because I was not using it at the time.
I also installed seatools http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/detail/seatools-win-chief/
You can use Seatools ifDiskmgmt.msc doesn't work or a search for deejay management comes up empty, like mine did. Open up Seatools, and so system tools, and then Microsoft System tools and you lot will meet disk management. Open up that and you lot tin assign the letter to your goflex drive! (be careful not to assign information technology to a letter used for another drive - I used j) You can likewise apply Seatools to test the bulldoze!
I could finally view the files in file manager and in the dashboard, but I could non exercise a backup from there. Then I set up a backup using the regular windows backup and it works fine.
Then I likewise downloaded seagate media sync for windows.http://www.seagate.com/back up/by-topic/downloads/ that did give me the option to syn files like pictures and documents and is more like the old dashboard.
So you lot exercise have a couple of choices

Perchance your solution work for You. But for me the solution don't work, considering it is not possible to assign any drive letter. I habe the possibilities catechumen to a dynamic volume, offline, preferences and assistance.
I recall the trouble is, that the drive is not migrated. Wait at:

Second problem in my stance is, that the driver is dated by 21.06.2016! Version: 10.0.10586.0
If I search for a newer driver I get this answer: the all-time commuter for this "Gerät" is installed.
My drive is a Seagate BlackArmor GoFlex Pro with a USB 3.0 Kit. Connected to USB three.0 port. But the drive besides do not work on USB 3.0.
Drive work normally on Windows 7.
I volition not convert the bulldoze to a dynamical volume, because in that location is no guarantee, that the drive will work then nether Windows x.
I recall, this problem has to be solved past Microsoft and Seagate together.
These, because I bought this drive with security software.
But now I am not possible to use the bulldoze or the security software, because this software is on the Seagate BlackArmor GoFlex and is to be used with this drive.

I tin not wait at what you are suggesting since I don't know what information technology says. Merely curious -- did y'all try using seatools?

Seagate Dashboard older versions practice non work with Windows 10. Information technology is very disappointing that Seagate dont tell you this and I wasted hours trying to establish why the software would not back up my computer, and kept halting with " unknown mistake" . The solution is so simple - uninstall Seagate dashboard. Google install Seagate Dashboard, find version 4.3.9.0 or later on, downlaod it and the everything woks fine again.

I also had problem with my Seagate Goflex Home 2TB NAS share
Cyberspace inquiry led me to this site, ant the Windows 8 upgrade worked for me:

The download file name is GoFlex_Slim_ProSW.naught Unzip/extract this file, so run the program SeagateDashboard_1554_Best_Setup.exe
No bug encountered and all went very smooth. Suspend your Memeo backup until y'all make up one's mind what existing fill-in to re-utilize if that is your plan..

I looked for Seagate Free Agent GoFlex 500 m and if your drive is with USB 3.0 Kit please tell me, if you got a solution. My drive is a Seagate Complimentary Agent GoFlex Pro 1 TB with USB iii.0 Kit (as shown in the pictures in the internet), until today no solution. Drive work with Win 7, not with Windows 10 (I dont employ Windows viii). Drive neither work on ASUS PRO nor on PC.
I don`t will erase the bulldoze (reformat, also not abel to give the "Volume" a drive letter of the alphabet, itd.) , considering it works on Win 7.
Tried also software for Windows 8 on Seagate homepage without positive solution.

I take used the method I mentioned previously on ii external drives that Windows ten did not recognize
make sure your external drive is plugged in to the usb port
1 - left click on the "commencement card"
2 - right click on "this PC"
3 - left click on "manage". This should open up a window called computer direction
four - click on storage, then disk direction
v - you volition now see a list of drives. One of them should exist your external bulldoze
6 - right click on the external drive, then assign information technology an unused drive letter
You should now be able to see the files on the bulldoze

I installed SeagateDashboard_1554_Better_Setup.exe. Seagate Dashboard don't find my Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1TB with USB 3.0 Kit. My drive is not migrated.

In device Manager Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex USB Device exists, in disc management it also exists, but without drive letter.
Possibilities under properties:
convert to dynamic disc, Offline, Backdrop and Help.
So I have to wait for a solution.

actually, you find memeodashboard.exe in C:\Plan Files (x86)\Seagate\Seagate Dashboard, right click and under properties select in the compatability tab to run information technology in compatability fashion under Windows vii. Worked for me.
